ResilienceLab.online is an online learning platform created to support civil society organizations, individuals and activists facing increasing pressure on their work, resources and operating space.
Across Europe and beyond, many civil society actors operate in environments marked by legal uncertainty, political pressure, digital threats, burnout and limited access to resources.
ResilienceLab.online responds to these challenges by offering accessible learning materials that help organizations strengthen their capacities in a practical and realistic way.
The platform is designed for non-technical users and focuses on habit-based, applied learning rather than abstract theory.
ResilienceLab.online is structured as a collection of courses and learning modules, each addressing a specific topic relevant to civil society resilience.
Clear course content that users can read at their own pace.
Realistic scenarios that connect the material to everyday work.
Simple tools to help users apply what they learn.
Anonymous quizzes that reinforce understanding without individual result storage.
The platform does not provide individual legal, security or psychological advice. All materials are intended for learning and capacity-building purposes only.
ResilienceLab.online is managed by the Transatlantic Foundation (TF), the European and EU-registered arm of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), based in Brussels.
The Foundation promotes stronger cooperation and understanding between Europe and the United States on transatlantic issues and the wider world while supporting democratic reform and resilience across the transatlantic community.
TF builds on GMF's more than three decades of support for civil society, democracy, independent media, and Euro-Atlantic integration in the countries east of the former Iron Curtain.
ResilienceLab.online builds on practical experience and lessons learned through supporting civil society organizations across Central and Eastern Europe. Additional success stories and examples of impact are available through the Engaging Central Europe initiative.
Featured stories include Fostering Women's Civic Participation in Rural Bulgaria, Strengthening Youth Participation Through Theatre and Debate in Hungary, and Cybersecurity for Romanian CSOs: From "Boring" to "We'd Better".
The Resilience Podcast Series explores key challenges affecting civil society organizations, with a particular focus on resilience in shrinking civic spaces in Central and Eastern Europe.
Through conversations with practitioners and experts, the series examines digital security, legal and institutional resilience, psychological resilience, communication and advocacy, and fundraising.
The series is part of the FOREST project, which focuses on supporting civil society organizations in Hungary and Slovakia.
The Resilience Podcast Series is available on Spotify.
